Smarter Generosity

Cutting taxes to give more to your charities

Texans for Fiscal Responsibility

Welcome!

Thank you again for your interest in supporting the mission and work of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility.

We are an independent educational non-profit organization seeking to illuminate the actions of government, educate and equip citizens to effectively advocate for pro-taxpayer and pro-family reforms, and hold lawmakers accountable for their actions.

As such, we depend on the generous giving of donors just like you to protect Texas Taxpayers and Families.

Eric Weissgarber is a friend and a generous advocate for our cause. He’s also an expert on charitable giving, philanthropy, and financial systems. We trust Eric to help our supporters lower their tax exposure by using his expertise to show people how to give more effectively. In fact, some of our current donors have already taken advantage of Eric’s assistance to ensure the dollars they give have the greatest possible impact. And Eric has dedicated his retirement to doing this free of charge. Like us, Eric wants to protect taxpayers and families – that means helping you to maximize your impact!

Eric is fully retired and is not receiving or seeking any compensation for this help. He has created a series of educational awareness videos and implementation material titled Smarter Generosity™. Topics We Cover

Increase your giving with taxes saved…

Many of these powerful ideas are never learned. We don’t start off life with lots of assets and high tax brackets. We legitimately have to plan and save for later. With savings and compounding, we can end up with extra. These great ideas can convert that extra to have significant impact while eliminating or reducing long-term capital gains and income tax.

Don’t deny yourself or the charities you care about from benefiting from these ideas. Behind most of these informative videos well give you very clear specific guidelines how to implement the powerful, tax saving strategies.

We’ve created six brief videos on these topics

The Iceberg

See why 90% of people are giving from the wrong assets

Why

It’s Dave Ramsey‘s final, seventh step of Financial Peace University.

When

Optimize your deductions and maximize your giving during these years and events.

Donor Advised Fund

Use this SUPER vehicle to never pay long-term capital gains tax and possibly eliminate income tax.

70+ Years Old

Yes, there are advantages of getting older! Especially for those of us who are 70 and beyond. We have the ability to make a direct gift to charity from our retirement accounts. These direct gifts to charity are not deemed taxable income to us.

Charities You Support

Sadly, most charities have been operating in the dark ages. They don’t know how to show their donors how to convert tax dollars into charitable giving.
